Stories of monsters have intrigued humanity for nearly as long as it has existed. The perception of monsters in a broad scape and one that changes with time. In Western culture’s distant past, we championed their defeat. In recent years, we’ve come to sympathize with them. The idea that the world brings it’s worst nightmares to life as terrifying and savage as they are ugly reflections of our own mistakes.
Cynthia’s color scheme hails from the traditional idea of toxic radiation. She is a biohazard by design and given a sharp and aggressive appearance. Her design screams danger and the style in which she is often drawn supports this goal. Many angles such as the curves of her muscles and exaggerated claws. Cynthia is a Mutinal hybrid which is a type of species I created to out a name to these genetic mutations of war. They posses reptilian and mammalian traits, mostly relatable to crocodiles and big cats. The bright green orbs and spikes line her body, cutting through the darkness. They can be faded out to hide her from view, eventually revealing herself in an ominous chain of opening lights.
